What sets you apart from other bars in la?

short answer - our food & atmosphere

Our team is made up of people who LOVE good food and great service. On any day, you’ll find us dining at a Michelin restaurant or the newest restaurant on the infatuations hit list. When we decided to open a bar in LA, we knew for sure we would not compromise on the product we serve. We did some market research (AKA eating and drinking at other local bars & restaurants) and we noticed a lot of places that identify as “sports bars” are serving previously frozen, heavily processed foods. We also noticed the vibe was really set by whoever was in there at the time - rowdy fans, overpowering game sounds, etc.

So, we set out to create a place that feels like your neighborhood spot. Where the staff sets the tone with excitement to see you again. Where we remember your favorite beer, favorite wing sauce… even your kids name. With an in house chef that thoughtfully curates and perfects our menu seasonally. Homemade sauces, marinades, brined chicken wings. It’s not just bar food, it’s elevated and unique. You won’t find freezer burned mozz sticks here. In fact, we don’t even have a deep freezer.

Oh, and the vibe - we kick out assholes because who wants to really sit around and pretend they’re not bothering everyone?!

So, basically we are the neighborhood spot for people who care about good food, drinks, and atmosphere.

What’s the parking situation?

GLENDALE -

We have a FREE parking lot directly behind the bar on W Acacia Avenue. There is also FREE parking directly in front of the bar on S Brand Boulevard.

HIGHLAND PARK -

There plenty of street parking around the area. There is also a paid parking lot directly behind the bar on N Avenue 56.

Do you have gift cards?

We sure do. Your friends are going to love you! Just click the gift card tab at the top of this page for a virtual one. Or, come on in and grab one in person.

do you take reservations?

We are first come, first served with counter service. Come on in and snag a table!

do you do private events/ filming?

We sure do. Want to host your company party, holiday party, birthday, engagement party, rehearsal dinner, or even wedding? We got ya! Email Steven@the-greyhound.com (Glendale) or Mateo@the-greyhound.com (Highland Park) to set it up!

Want to invite 15 random people that you met in a Facebook group, but don’t want to get stuck with the bill? Perfect! We’re order at the counter so everyone can pay their own tab. Just give us call ahead or email to give us a heads up.

do you play sound for games?

We play sound for playoffs, finals, and home fan games (like Dodgers, Tottenham, and Barca). All other games can still be enjoyed on our TVs without sound. We prefer to keep a neighborly atmosphere all other times. Basically, those coming in for food and drinks don’t have to worry about squeaky sneakers, buzzers, and whistles overpowering that.

Can i bring the kids?

GLENDALE -

Anytime!

HIGHLAND PARK -

Sure thing. Bring them in any time before 9pm. We even have kid regulars who boss us around - yes, that’s a thing!
